I’m a young(ish), new(ish) librarian. I don’t shush. I have tattoos. I don’t like cats. I am most definitely an extrovert. I like going to live concerts. I don’t spend all of my time reading. I play soccer.
And I’m really, really into learning and education.
This is the space I use to think through all the things being a librarian means, especially in a school setting. You can expect book reviews, information about librarianship, my thoughts on new research and theory, and reflections on my own experiences.
And every now and then, you’ll probably get some real life things on here, things I just generally love. Because being a librarian working with teens without experiencing life is just silly.
(I’m not new in education, just librarianship. I was a high school English teacher before I went to get my MSLS.)
I’m currently working at a rural high school in North Carolina and part-timing for the public library in the area.
